Important Tour Information & Safety
Route Adjustments & Bus Returns
Please note that the Full Day Milos Boat Tour and Polyaigos itinerary is subject to change based on sea conditions and the captain’s discretion. Our goal is to cover the largest part of the island possible. In cases where the weather prevents a full circumnavigation, we will explore the coastline up to the safest point, and your return to Adamas will be provided by our private shuttle service.
Weather Contingency & Transfers
In case of strong northern winds, we adjust our route to the sheltered south coast. During these conditions, departures take place from Paleochori (South Milos) to ensure a smooth and pleasant sailing experience. A complimentary round-trip shuttle service to and from Paleochori is included in your booking.
Safety & Age Recommendations
Safety is the top priority for the Horizon Sailing team. For safety reasons, this specific full-day tour is recommended for guests aged 5 and above. We ensure all necessary equipment and protocols are in place to provide a secure environment for all our passengers throughout the voyage.
The Highlights of our Voyage
Cape Vani and the Serenity of Kalogries
Turning toward the northwestern edge of Milos, we encounter the imposing cliffs of Cape Vani. This geological masterpiece, with its dramatic abandoned manganese mines, offers a raw look at the island’s industrial past against a backdrop of deep ochre and iron-red volcanic rocks.
Continuing south, we reach Kalogries Bay. This sheltered cove is famous for its shallow, turquoise floor and exceptional water clarity. It is the perfect natural swimming pool to begin your day, offering a moment of pure Mediterranean tranquility before we head toward the island’s most famous landmarks.

From the Cathedral of Sykia to the Legendary Pirate Lair of Kleftiko
The Full Day Milos Boat Tour continues past the monumental Sykia Cave, the largest and most awe-inspiring sea cavern on Milos. With its collapsed roof allowing sunlight to illuminate the emerald water below, it stands as a breathtaking cathedral of rock nestled within a volcanic crater.
Next, we arrive at the legendary Kleftiko, the ancient pirate stronghold. This labyrinth of towering white limestone pillars and natural arches is a paradise for underwater exploration. You will have ample time to snorkel through the same sea tunnels once used by pirates as hideouts, immersing yourself in the transparent blue waters of Greece’s most iconic landmark.

Exploring the Southern Coast and the Paradise of Gerakas
As we navigate along the wild southern coast of Milos, the landscape shifts again, revealing hidden gems accessible only by sea. We drop anchor at the secluded paradise of Gerakas or Spathi Bay.
Gerakas is particularly famous for its unique “sand slides”—dramatic white sand formations that flow from the mountain directly into the emerald sea. The combination of the steep cliffs and the vibrant water creates a serene, exotic atmosphere that feels worlds away from the bustling tourist trails.

The Azure Gem of Polyaigos and the Volcanic Wonders of Glaronisia
Τhe crowning jewel of our Full Day Milos Boat Tour is Polyaigos, the largest uninhabited island in the Cyclades. Known for its pristine, untouched beauty, Polyaigos is home to the breathtaking Blue Lagoon (Galazia Nera). Here, we stop for our last swim in waters so vibrant and turquoise they defy description. Whether we anchor at the Blue Lagoon or the equally stunning Mirsini Bay, the experience of swimming in these crystal-clear lagoons is a highlight of our odyssey.
As we begin our return journey, our voyage takes us past the rare volcanic islets of Glaronisia. These hexagonal basalt columns, rising vertically from the deep blue sea, are a geological masterpiece of nature. It is the final, striking image of the tour as we head back to the bay. We conclude our Full Day Milos Boat Tour adventure by returning to Adamas at approximately 06:30 PM, leaving you with memories of the Aegean’s most hidden and majestic secrets.
